UBIX Temporary Roofing System

Introduction

Proven across the UK over a period of 12 years UBIX has proven itself again and again as being the first choice temporary roof system for many experienced scaffold companies. Using a small number of standard components weather protection can be achieved on site quickly, safely and economically. The dangers associated with working at height are minimised with UBIX as the roof sheeting, using PVC polyester coated fabric, is performed safely from the eaves scaffold platform or ground level. UBIX can be opened and closed easily and rapidly to enable craneage of materials in and out of site.

Features

  • Fully modular roofing system in a range of sizes, will fit any project.
  • Fits on any scaffolding product, maximum on-site flexibility and stock utilisation.
  • Minimal number of different parts, simple logical assembly & easy stocking.
  • Loose components eliminated, all parts click together without bolts.
  • Lightweight aluminium beams, erect in situ or at height without the need for craneage.
  • Multi-function beams with separate tracking, use beams for other purposes when roof is idle.
  • Two beam ranges 45 and 78 cm, cost-effective solutions for a range of span widths.
  • Clear spans up to 40m (45m with extra design measures), exceeds all competitors.
  • Range of beam sizes from 0.5 to 8m, best fit for all applications.
  • Compact ridge beam, allows tailored roof profile and reduced scaffold mass.
  • Can be fitted to any design of beam, steel or aluminium.
  • Special components to suit individual requirements are no problem.

Key safety features:

  • Minimal parts
  • Integrated fixings, all without spanner or hammer
    Easy to handle

Applications

Standard Application In the standard application straight beams or straight beams plus a special ridge unit are combined to form mono or duo pitch roofs. Individual beam lines are braced together and the roof structure is secured to the top of a tubular support scaffold to form the protective canopy underneath. Freestanding Application Utilising 2 standard ridge beams at the eaves, it is possible to construct temporary buildings using aluminium beams to form the sidewalls and roof. Rolling Application Either mono or duo pitch roofs utilising special high strength roller bearing wheel units designed to roll on standard scaffold tube.
