Scaffold Boards from the supplier comply with BS 2482

TIMBER SPECIES – EUROPEAN WHITEWOOD (PICEA ABIES) – GRADE A SPRUCE. (Section 4, Table 1 – BS2482:1981)

DIMENSIONS – Cut to 3900mm (Length) x 225mm (Width) x 38mm(Thickness). (Section 5, Table 2 – BS2482:1981)

BANDING – Each Board is banded at each end to BS 2482:1981 by attaching nail plates made from galvanized sheet steel of minimum 0.7mm thickness (22 gauge) & flat headed galvanized nails of size 30mm x 3.0mm. (Section 6a, 6b – BS2482:1981)

GRADING – Boards are visually graded to a support span of 1.2m as per criteria stipulated by BS2482:1981 by certified BS inspectors to ensure that knots are not in excess and the board is free from technical defects. (Section 7.2 – BS2482:1981) SGS Inspections can be provided upon request at extra cost

TREATMENT - Kiln dried to below 12% moisture content before loading onto the container. (12% moisture content on shipping ensures nominal moisture content rise during shipping is adequately compensated for as per BS2482 requirements).
